Privacy Policy
This policy explains what happens to the details you share when you enquire about a stairlift with Winchester Mobility. Last updated November 2026.
Who we are
This website is operated by Winchester Mobility, a family-run mobility business based in Winchester, Hampshire, SO23 0LD. For the purposes of UK data protection law, Winchester Mobility is the controller of the personal information collected through this page.
What we collect
When you complete the stairlift enquiry form we collect your name, telephone number, postcode, and email address if you choose to give one. We also record your answers about who the stairlift is for, the type of staircase you have, your preferred timescale and any stairlift option you selected.
We record the date and time you submitted your enquiry, the page you came from and any advertising parameters in the link you arrived through (for example campaign or click identifiers). This helps us understand which advertising is useful.
We do not ask for, and ask you not to send us, medical diagnoses or other sensitive health information.
How we use it
We use your details to contact you by telephone (or email, if you prefer and have given one) to discuss your stairlift requirements, explain the options and answer your questions.
Where appropriate, we may share the relevant details of your enquiry with Companion Stairlifts so that they can arrange a free home assessment and provide you with a quotation. Companion Stairlifts design, manufacture and install the stairlifts and provide the associated warranty, servicing and aftercare.
We rely on our legitimate interests in responding to your enquiry and, where relevant, on taking steps at your request before entering into a contract. If you tick the optional marketing box, we rely on your consent to send you occasional news and offers, and you can withdraw that consent at any time.
Cookies and advertising
This site uses the cookies and similar technologies needed to make the enquiry form work. If you accept advertising cookies, we may also use the Meta (Facebook and Instagram) pixel to measure how our advertising performs and to show relevant advertising to people who may be interested in a stairlift.
The Meta pixel only loads after you accept advertising cookies. You can decline and still use every part of this site, and you can change your choice at any time using the cookie settings link in the footer.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry records for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and for a reasonable period afterwards so that we can pick up the conversation if you come back to us. If your enquiry does not go ahead, we remove your details when they are no longer needed. You can ask us to delete them sooner.
Your rights
You have the right to ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, to have it corrected, to ask us to delete it, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to withdraw consent for marketing at any time.
To make a request, please call us on the number below. We will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
